Common Excavator Undercarriage Service
On a typical excavator undercarriage, the shoes, idlers & rollers will last longer than the links and sprockets. It is very common for link assemblies to have internal pin and bushing wear that most refer to as “stretch”. Once that stretch reaches a certain point the best service option is to remove the old track pads and install them on new links and replace the sprockets. A simple service that’ll keep the machine moving for years to come.
